SUMMARY:2025 Walk for Life & Famously Hot Pink 10K + 5K
DESCRIPTION:The Walk for Life and the Famously Hot Pink 10K & 5K is Prisma Health Midlands Foundation's signature fundraising event benefiting Prisma Health Breast Centers in Columbia\, S.C. For more than three decades\, thousands of people have helped raise more than $12.6 million to fund the latest in digital mammography technology and enhance programs and services for breast cancer patients and their families. \n\nProceeds from the 2025 Walk for Life & Famously Hot Pink 10K & 5K will be used to fund equipment on Prisma Health's Richland campus to further increase access to diagnostic mammography patients. The proceeds will fund two ultrasound units\, two ultrasound exam tables\, and one 3D room.\n\n \n\nProceeds will also continue to provide educational materials for teaching patients and the community about breast cancer and the importance of early detection\, "breast bears" for compression after surgery\, post-mastectomy camisoles to women with breast cancer\, and materials for Nurse Navigators who help every diagnosed breast cancer patient navigate their care and recovery. \n\nAll registrations include an event T-shirt. Registered breast cancer survivors will be given a survivor's hat.
