By making a donation\, participants can have their unwanted paper\, CDs and credit cards shredded on-site by Carolina Records and Information Management.\n\n\n\nAll donations will benefit the American Heart Association and will be earmarked specifically for pediatric cardiovascular research. The Federal Trade Commission suggests shredding expired credit cards\, bank statements\, insurance forms and copies of credit applications to protect your identity. Bring your personal documents to "Shred out Heart Disease" and watch as your documents are securely shredded on-site before being recycled.\n\n\n\nAccording to the American Heart Association\, heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States and in South Carolina. One in five Americans suffer from some form of cardiovascular disease\; in our state\,\n\nthat number is one in four.
