SUMMARY:Walk for Life & Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon +5K
DESCRIPTION:Walk for Life and the Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon + 5K are Prisma Health Midlands Foundation signature fundraising events benefiting Prisma Health Breast Center in Columbia\, S.C. For more than three decades\, thousands of people have helped raise more than $11 million to fund the latest in digital mammography technology and enhance programs and services for breast cancer patients and their families. Proceeds from the 2023 event will help fund the modernization of Prisma Health's Baptist Breast Center\; a 3D digital mammography unit for Prisma Health's Richland Breast Center\; and will also ensure that patients continue to receive special items like "breast bears" for surgery patients to use in the car post-surgery\, post-mastectomy camisoles and more.\n\n\n\nYou can register to walk or run the 5K in person on Oct. 14. This year\, the Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon will also be back in person! The 5K walk and run as well as the half marathon routes will all end in Segra Park's ballpark again this year. Register your child for the 800-meter Aflac Fun Run race. Participants will cross the finish line at home plate inside Segra Park. Wear it any way you wish!
