Publishing and Marketing company is looking for a go-getter with personality plus to help take the business to the next level. Columbia’s only business magazine for female small business owners and entrepreneurs is growing in popularity and distribution. We're also developing other products with an even higher earning capacity.

We’re looking for someone who will fit in with our can-do, savvy and energetic team that is doing exciting work that impacts the business community. Set your own hours with no cap on earnings in this commission-based contract position. The successful candidate can turn this into an employee position and/or build a sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish new advertising/marketing accounts and services existing accounts. Leads provided, but some cold-calling required with follow-up of in-person, phone and email contacts with potential customers.
  • Meet specific sales goals, recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Collect payment and submit orders to management and works with graphic designer to ensure customer’s specific needs are met.
  • Keep management informed by submitting regularly scheduled activity and results reports, such as daily call reports and weekly work plans.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products.
  • Maintains professional knowledge and establishes personal networks.
  • Maintains records on sales leads, contacts, sales, and renewals
  • Contributes to team effort by attending editorial meetings and networking events as required.
