Free Mulch Is Available
Free mulch made from ground Christmas Trees collected as part of the Grinding of the Greens Christmas tree recycling program. Mulch will be available on Saturday, January 12, 2013 starting at 9:00 a.m. until the mulch runs out.
Mulch is load-your-own. Be sure to bring a bucket, bags, or whatever else you might need to haul off the mulch.
The last day to drop off Christmas trees is Thursday, January 10, 2013. Please visit www.keepthemidlandsbeautiful.org for the list of 20 drop-off locations.
Grinding is provided by ASPLUNDH with additional support from the Irmo-Chapin Recreation Commission and the State Farmers Market.
