Drug and alcohol use among employees puts your employees, the public and your company at great risk. This training will cover the physical, behavioral, speech, and performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse and use of controlled substances. Workplace safety and driving performance issues will be discussed. General confrontational techniques for when drug/alcohol use is suspected will be discussed. This program will help you recognize the signs and symptoms of drug and alcohol use among employees and gives tips for handling different situations. Bonus-prescription medication abuse, identification, and signs and symptoms of use will also be discussed. This course meets the USDOT 49 CFR 382.603 requirements.
Who should attend:
Employers, supervisors, leads, foreman, safety representatives or anyone designated by their company to determine whether reasonable suspicion exits to require an employee to undergo testing.

Physical manifestations of alcohol/drug use
Identification of groups of drugs and their effects on the user
Identification of various types of alcohol/drug users and their behaviors
Workplace safety, traffic safety and performance issues identified
